Arizona Spring Fling 2002 - Camping Info for May

NOTE: Due to the extreme lack of rain and a low snowfall this year campgrounds may actually be closed by the time that we all get there, I will do my best to keep people updated on the forest status. There already is a fire ban in effect - no campfires or cookfires. Be prepared to find other lodging in case of the forest closure.

Camping in Prescott

There are a number of options for camping in Prescott, but the best one is to camp at the Yavapai Campground if possible, that's where the ride will be starting. Click on that link to see directions and basic information for the campground.

If you are interested in the other camping available around the area, check here: Prescott National Forest

Camping in Sedona

There is no free camping in Sedona, but there are a number of fee camping areas that are available outside the city. Here's a link to more information

Camping in Flagstaff

There are a number of campgrounds around Flagstaff, but there is even more dispersed (free) camping available. The best spots are just up the road from where we'll be riding for both days - only a 1/2 mile from the trailhead! I could not get link information to websites for camping, so you'll have to look around on your own.
