Arizona Spring Fling 2002
NOTE: Due to the extreme lack of rain and a low snowfall this year campgrounds and trail areas may actually be closed by the time the Fling starts. I am doing my best to have some contingencies in place for riding and camping. I will do my best to keep people updated on the forest status. There already is a fire ban in effect - no campfires or cookfires. Be prepared to find other lodging in case of the forest closure.
| Isn't this just the
best-designed site you've ever seen? Get over it if you were looking for
something truly fancy - Pete wouldn't let me trade in PetePoints for some
design assist so I'm on my own. It will evolve over the next couple days.
The Spring Fling is separated into two parts: March 21-24 and May 9-12. We did this so we could showcase our higher-altitude riding during the warmer season in May and still satisfy your craving for an escape to the desert in the middle of March. In the past, the organizers have run themselves into the ground trying to appease everyone's requests for info on hotels, directions, etc. This year we're going to focus on the riding more than anything. We will be posting maps and directions to all of the rides as well as generic addresses you can use in Mapquest etc. to map from your hotels to the trailheads. We will not be providing hotel, lodging or car/transit arrangements/info, we're going to let all of the attendees figure that one out themselves. On the right are links for more information: |
