LETTER FROM A COLLECTOR OF ALOES:
01/22/07 Howdy all, I live in Chandler Heights, suburb of Phoenix.
It got down to 14 degrees at my house, I had my aloes covered as much
as possible, but of course at that temperature, it doesn't matter much.
Here's a list of most of my aloes and what kind of damage they had (a
week after the hard freeze):
Aculeata - no damage
Africana - tips burned
Alloides - will make it, but badly burned
Aristata - no damage

Brevifolia - no damage
Broomii - no damage, flower spike is mush
California - a lot of damage, but will survive
Cameronii - a lot of damage, probably won't make it
Ciliaris - some damage, will make it (surprised at that one, thought
it'd be totally gone)
