The DE-Surefire comes with a dark colored Non-reflective finish that provides stealth and resists scratches which could reveal your position. It also includes a long barrel silencer to mute the sound of a shot being fired to a low whisper. To provide better penetration the DE-Surefire uses special heavy caliber armor piercing rounds. In addition it includes a micro-gyro recoil compensation system and a low-light enhancing magnification scope to make every shot as accurate and the first and an integral Smartgun II link. The DE-Surefire can also be broken down quickly for easy storage in a carry case. With all this capability in one sniper rifle, why buy any other.

The DE-Surefire includes an integral Smartgun II link and Silencer. Because of the heavy caliber rounds it fires it has a +3 recoil penalty for the second shot fired per turn, but provides 2 points of recoil compensation. The ammo is treated as APDS ammo. The ammo must be bought special at a price of 250¥ per box of 10 and each box must be bought separately with the same Availability and Street Index as the weapon. The standard scope is a Low-Light Vision Magnification rating 3. It can be adjusted for different ranges, but it takes a Simple Action to do so. The scope can be removed and replaced with another if desired. The DE-Surefire also comes with the carrying case to store it in when broken down. It takes 4 Complex actions to assemble or disassemble the weapon. The weapon is not meant to be used in combat. Use the rules for the Ranger-Arms sniper rifle for failure in combat situations.
