Here's the story on Shelby's new motor.

A fellow VMF'r and friend of mine by the name of Gary Roys, from Troy, Michigan

built this motor for his '65 Shelby (clone) and did all the work on it, tuning, dynoing

and installing it in his car. Shortly after installing the motor he found an original

289 Shelby motor, which had been freshly rebuilt that he wanted to put in his car

even more.

After seeing the Dyno sheets on this motor, I just had to have it or one like it for

my Shelby, so we talked, we negotiated and walla! It's mine.

Note: I use a 351W firing order (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8)

Here's my NEW intake,750 Holley, custom made alternator bracket, ProStreet

Harmonic balancer & Jet Hot Hooker exhaust system

Custom alternator adjustment rod     Pro Street Damper                     Jet Hot Hooker Headers

Custom Nitrous throttle switch              Custom A/C brackets              Pulley's all installed- finally!

Summit Billet aluminum valve covers

When I got these new valve covers I realized that they needed some crankcase venting breathers

and also a way to put oil in the motor.

So, I purchased a couple of billet breathers from our local

Loper's Automotive Speed Shop and drilled two holes in the covers for the breathers.

Completed and installed and running strong!
