Keith Romney

(Mostly accurate recordings of factual historical information.)

My wife and I served in the Southeast Mexican Mission from Jan 12, 1967 to August 1969. The mission covered the eight Southern States of Mexico and Quintana Roo. The membership was around 12,000 when we left Veracruz.

There are many stakes and temples in Mexico as a result of the faith of the members and effective missionary activity.

We visited the mission around nineteen years after our release. In Puebla there were two Branches when we left. Carlos Chichía was the District President. His son was the Stake President of one of the Stakes at the time of our visit. Faith and good works were evidence of the Lord pouring out his Spirit on those people. President Chichía informed us that they were going to organize two more Stakes that Sunday in their area. They already had four Stakes in the area.
