This one's worth the time to download the large image. It is larger than most of the other photos in my pages because it has a much greater impact when seen at the larger size. The print and the scan both lost considerable beauty in their conversions. The original was shot on Fuji Provia 100 ISO, 120 size, re-spooled to 620 so it could be used in one of my modified Brownie Hawkeyes. See my Camera Equipment Page for details of the modifications. Amazing what can be done WITHOUT auto-focus/auto-exposure, isn't it??

Follow the Hale-Bopp photos through to the end. There's a surprise in store!

The Hale-Bopp comet as seen several weeks before its zenith. I had to go out at 3:00 AM to get this one. Be sure to view the larger image. There are some surprising features to this celstial event.
