FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR HERMAN WARREN
Funeral services were held Tues., a 2:00 pm at the Pleasant Ridge Church f or Herman Leburn Warren, of the Wards section, who died at the Glasgow Cli nic Hospital Sunday, 1 Feb [1953]. Rev. Roy Vance was in charge of the ser vice. Burial was in the church cemetery. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom We ss Warren, he was born 13 July 1934. He is survived by his parents; 4 sist ers, Mrs. Elsie Thompson, Wyoming Ill., Mrs. Pansy Huber, Louisville, Mr s. Pansy Huber, Louisville, Mrs. Lola Skaggs and Mrs. Opal Skaggs, Mt. She rman; 3 brothers, Herbert Warren, Peoria, Ill., Bland Warren, Wards, and A lco Warren of Lousivlle. Pallbearers were L.H. Clopton, Gene Hoover, Hube rt Skaggs, Harvey Cruse, Billie Bell, and Arvin Thompson.

Was living in Maryland prior to 1657 as evidenced by the following:

1. Statement Humphrey Warren made 20 April 1659 that two years earlie r, he had seen a "mare of Mr. Starkeys with
two stone colts following her."

2. Was listed as a testator (witness) of the will of William Bromale (Bru male) of Kent County, Maryland. on 4 December 1660;

Immigrated for good in 1662 with son Humphrey as noted by following Maryla nd land entry:

ast above said being sick in body but of sound & perfect mind & memory pra ised to almighty God for the same and considering the uncertaninty of th is transitory state of life do therefore make this my last will and testam ent in manner following: I will that all my just debts be duly and honest ly paid to my creditors as far as my personel estate will extend.Second ly I will desire & bequeath unto my loveing and dear wife Jane Warren a ll and every part of the plantation whereon I now dwell being part of a tr act called Frailty containing in the whole three hundred acres as by pate nt for the same but the said herby bequeathed plantation containing but fi fty acres more or less unto her my said wife during the whole time of h er natural life to have and to hold the same without hinderance interupti on disterbance or molestation from any person whatsoever and after and aft er her decease then I will the said above bequeathed land with the appurte nances be & rebound to my dear son Thomas Warren and his heirs forever a nd in case my said son Thomas Warren should die with out lawfull issue th en I give and bequeath the same to the child my wife now goes withall prov ided the same be a son & to his heirs forever & in case the said child sho uld be a son & die without lawfull issue then I guve the same to my son Ba rton Warren & his heirs forever. Thirdly after my said just debts be du ly satisfied then the remaining part of my personal estate be equally divi ded & disteributed amongst my dear & loveing wife & children accordi ng to such proportions & dividedend as the law in such cases has provide d. Fourthly I do herby revoke disannull and make void all former wills & t estaments by me heretofore at any time made. Lastly I do nominate & appoi nt my well beloved wife Jane Warren my sole executor to see this my will p erformed & to look after & bring up all my children as also that my daught er Sarah do stay with her mother the mourning year and then to be at liber ty likewise my son Barton to be at age & liberty at eighteen years as al so my son Thomas be at Age and Liberty at eighteen years as aforesa id & in case the plantation whreeon Mrs Hannah Willson now lives should ex pire cease & end its lease brfore my son Barton should die then I give t he same to my said son Barton & his heirs forever. I also give to my daugh ter Elizabeth Warren one black heifer calf to her & her heirs forever.In w itness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of Jan uary anno 1708. On the back of the foregoing will was endorsed the following probate to w it November the 23rd 1710 These are to certifie that on the day & year abo vesaid the above witnesses John Harris and John Lofton made oath on the ho ly Evangalist that the above instrument in writing was in their presents s igned sealed & delivered by the above said Thomas Warren and was in the ir hearing publshed pronounced & declaired by the said Thomas Warr en to be his last will & testament and also that Joseph Dwell was there pr esent and signed as an evidence to the same sworn.
