General Notes (Husband)

Dear Mr. Ingram,

I was very pleased to have stumbled upon your Warren Geneaology Webpag e.
My mind and fingers wandered through it for nearly 4 1/2 hours. What a
massive work you have produced and are willing to share. Thank you ev er so
much. It has proven invaluable to my quest of searching my family histo ry
and lineage.

I am grafted into the Warren line via Hugh Warren and Lydia Pierc
However, I noticed that you did not have my direct connection listed.
Genettie/Genette Warren was the dau. of Hugh and Lydia. Lydia was call ed by
Hugh and her children as Lettie. The stories that I heard from my
grandfather about his grandpa Warren are amazing. Hugh was a very large
boned man and very stout even up until his death. He had suffered a stro ke
and although he recovered physically from the stroke, he was a little wor se
for the wear on the mental side of things. It took several people watchi ng
him in order to make sure that he didn't harm himself or others. But my
grandfather said that his dad, William Vance (a direct decendant of Alexan der
Vance who is also listed in your geneaology) was on of the people who to ok
care of him. He said that Grandpa Warren could stand flat footed and ju mp
directly over a 3 1/2 foot fence and once carried a two year old cow arou nd
his shoulders to the barn in order for her to give birth inside the ba rn as
opposed to outside in the elements.

Several other stories abound...but I digress. Please let me kn ow if I
can provide you any other information about Genette/Genettie Warren VANC E.

Sincerely,

Raymond Vance, II

General Notes (Husband)

Voice call from Stephen Warren, descendant of Frederick Warren
states that Frederick Warren was listed as "Ben" on the death
certificate of son Jacob Warren.

Place of Birth was considered Boyle county, according to Marriage
Listing of Frederick's son, Dotson Warren and wife Parthena Skaggs.
This was written in the 1860's, at which time Boyle county was in
existence. However, when Frederick was born, this would have
been Lincoln County or Mercer County, as Boyle County was created
in 1842.

I find a Frederick Warren in the 1830 Greene County, Indiana census.
The info from the census indicates that this may be our Frederick.
1 white male between 30 and 40. Frederick's age was 37 (born 1793)

We would then know that his wife was younger, between 20 and 30.

Also listed is at least 6 others in his family, most likely his
children.

Either from restlessness or from a burning pioneer spirit, some of the War rens decided to move on to Indiana in the
1820's, (Indiana became a state in 1816). The names of the heads of the fa milies that moved include *Hardin, Fredrick,
and William, who were all sons of William. The Johnsons and Pelts who bec ame allied by marriage accompanied
these Warrens on their trek. The county to which they moved was also nam ed Greene County. It was heavily forested
and mountainous terrain, similar to the land they-farmed back in Kentuck y. Hardin owned some 40 acres and Fredrick,
his brother owned 80 acres.

General Notes (Husband)

Interred: Westminster Abbey, London, England
Acceded: 28 Oct 1216, Gloucester Cathederal

Reigned 1216-1272. A minor when he took the throne, he did not take
the reigns of Government himself until 1234. Baronian discontent simmered,
boiling over in 1258 when Henry, facing a financial disaster,
attempted to raise large sums from his magnates. Reforms were agreed upon,
but then renounced by Henry. Simon de Montford lead a rebellion against
the King (the barons Wars) which was defeated after initial success,
thereafter Henry ceeded much of his power to his son. The source of
Burke says he was born 10 Oct 1206 and Married 14 Jan, crowned
1216.

General Notes for Child Edmund Plantagenet

In 1253 he was invested by the Pope in the Kingdom of Sicily and
Apulia, at
about this time he was also made Earl of Chester. These were of little
value
as the real King of Sicily was still living and the Earldom of Chester
was
transferred to his elder brother Edward. He soon obtained, however,
both
possessions and dignities, for upon the forfeiture of Simon de
Montfort by the
King of the Earldom of Leicester and also the honour of the
Stewardship of
England and the lands of Nicolas de Segrave.
