HENRY G. DESPAIN
Mr. Henry G. DeSpain, son of the late John Willie DeSpain and Melissa Skag gs DeSpain, was born 14 Apr 1907 in Green Co., Ky and departed this li fe 17 July 1977, at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, Ky.
He was 70 years old.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasa nt Ridge Baptist Church in Larue Co. at the time of his death.
Mr. DeSpain was united in marriage to Mary Lucy Thomopson, who preceded h im in death on 22 June 1971.
To this union were born 2 daughters and 5 sons: Miss Edna DeSpain, Miss Su sie DeSpain, Harold DeSpain, Lewis DeSpain, Ronald DeSpain, Calvin DeSpai n, and Jerry DeSpain, all of Mt. Sherman, Ky.
He is also survived by 4 brothers: Ernest DeSpain, Mt. Sherman, Ky,; Lee D eSpain, Allendale, Ky; Sam and Luther DeSpain, both of Magnolia, Ky.
Three grandchildren and 5 step-children also survive.
Funeral services were conducted at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Ho me at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday 19 July 1977 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Lar ue Co with the Rev. Kenneth Bloyd officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were Tommy DeSpain, Daymon Goldsmith, Douglas DeSpa in, Charles DeSpain, Norman Skaggs, and Marion DeSpain.

Mrs. SARAH E. GRAHAM, 86, passed away Friday , May 26, at her home on
R.5, Columbus after an illness of six weeks.
Mrs. Graham was born in LaRue County, Kentucky, October 21, 1874, the
daughter of John T. and Sarah Warren DeSpain. Her husband, Jerry Graham
preceded her in death October 5, 1956.
Funeral services were held on Monday at the Norman Funeral Home, Hope,
Indiana, with rev. CLARENCE HARDIN conducting the rites. Buriel was in
Rest Haven Cemetery, Edingburgh.
Survivors are five children, Mrs. Henderson of Hope, Tom Graham and Mrs.
Edna Smith of R 5, George Graham R 8 Mrs. Eva Wright of R4, Nashville.
Two brothers Andy DeSpain of Hartsville, and Zeak DeSpain of LaRue
County, Kentucky, a sister Mrs. Ross Elkins of Louisville, thirty -two
grandchildren and forty eight great grand children also survive.
